Vartry School of English Residency is set on 110 acres of well-maintained and scenic parkland. The castle dates back to the 14th Century and is ideally situated 15 minutes from Dublin Airport.  It is home to a wide range of state of the art facilities. 

 

The residency has undergone a complete renovation of accommodation and facilities, and can now be regarded as one of the best residencies in Ireland.  A suitable venue for small and large groups, we offer:

  • en-suite double rooms.
  • treble rooms.
  • single rooms.  
  • large dormitory rooms. 
  • mess rooms with pool tables and digital T.V.
  • kitchenette facilities on each floor of our residency. 

 

Vartry School of English Residency also provides:

  • security officer 24 hours a day.
  • night porter.
  • mentor staff.  
  • a swipe-card system is in operation for students to enter their own personal rooms.
  • 28 C.C.T.V cameras are in operation in common areas of the Residency. 

 

At Vartry School of English Residency we provide students with accommodation, state of the art sports facilities, a dedicated food catering staff providing breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Our modern sports complex which hosts four full sized basketball courts under one roof.

 

The complex has hosted wide range of national and international competitions throughout the years including basketball, soccer, volleyball, badminton, handball, squash, Irish dancing and wheelchair based sports.  Vartry School of English Residency’s other facilities include:

  • an indoor swimming pool.
  • impressive 9-hole parkland golf course.

  • rugby pitches.
  • soccer pitches.

 

We provide 2/3/4 week courses with all year around availability.  In a typical week pupils will go on one full-day excursion, two half-day excursions and have three afternoon activities.

 

In a month pupils will have completed:

• Over 60 hours of English tuitions.

• Ventured on 4 full day excursions and 8 half days.

• Participated in 12 afternoon activities.

 

Classes are small and we focus on the improving the pupil’s speaking and listening skills, building their confidence with the language.

 

 

Culturally, pupils are within easy reach of all that is great about Ireland.  Our location enables us to visit many of Ireland’s greatest tourist attractions, as well as participate in some exciting activities.
